Within 30 miles of the hotel there are two ski developments: Glenshee and The Lecht.
Glensee stakes its claim as Scotland's most extensive ski area with more than 25 miles (40km) of downhill runs, reached by a scenic drive along the A93 south of Braemar, Scotland's highest main road.
The Lecht is a much more compact centre, ideal for beginners and families, it also has a range of summer activities available. Instruction, equipment hire, refreshment facilities all operate in the skiing season, which varies from year to year but can be as early as December and as late as April.
