At the Deeside gliding club, it is possible
to have a trial gliding lesson in a dual control glide, to
experience the thrill of gliding as well as view this stunning
area from the skies. Think what an ideal and unusual gift

The Deeside gliding club was established in
1963 and since then has become one of the premier sites in
the UK with the mountains creating some of the best thermals
- the British two-seater record for altitude was set here
in 1995 - 37,730 feet! (Normal cruising height for jumbo jets
is 33,000feet)
